ZODIAC,

CJR LOVES Chicago and has friends in teh company. She is NOT, never has been, and never will be a fan of Ms. Griffith's run in Chicago.. especially considering her lack of musical theatre ability and the dumbing down of choreography, et al for her.

Actually, it's more like I live backstage at the Shubert.. I spend FAAAAR too much time backstage at that theatre.

The Ambassador, not so much. Haven't been backstage there since Tracy was in the company before Melanie.

And as for my favorite hot stagedoorman.... *drool* He is hottness served on a bun with all the fixings lmao

"Thats" is really a contraction for "that is". Hence it requires an apostrophe and becomes "that's". Please make a note of it.

Yes, I DO think Bibi should come back to Broadway as Roxie.. let's keep our fingers crossed that she'll be back after Charlotte's run is over. Charlotte's final just so happens to coincide with Bibi's final on tour... so who knows we'll see!

Has anyone on here seen Ruthie Henshall as Roxie? Or was that just on the West End that she played Roxie when she really played Velma here in the States. I forget.

CJR, here I am to the rescue. For those who did not read my review of Melanie Griffith in Chicago, she was awful. I had seen Chicago years before and remembered more talented performers and a lot more choreography. It seems they scaled down the choreography to fit Ms. Melanie's non-talent. Her voice was weak, she seemed very unfocused, like she could care less, Deidre Goodwin was made to do "baby" dance steps with Melanie so she could keep up, filed her nails during Deidre's number and blurted "Oh SH*T" when she slipped when she did her cartwheel. That is most of it in a nutshell.

That's funny because when I saw her she said "oh ****" during the cartwheel. Maybe we saw the same performance, or maybe she says "oh ****" during every performance. Well least she is consistent in her awfulness. I also remember her being out of breath a lot.

Hi Heather and Pablo!
I have seen Ruthie as Velma but looking foward to see her Roxie on Broadway (still waiting to confirm). Her Velma was GREAT!!!!!! I also love her Roxie in the recording too! But I think Bianca should DEFINITELY go back to broadway to reprise her ROxie. So i can see how she is! Has anyone seen Frances Ruffelle as ROxie ? I will go and see her and Ruthie and Kevin and Paul Baker on Ruthie's last nite, I hope...
