As anyone tried to RUSH Chicago? If so, was the line long and how were the seats? I'm thinking about going on a Saturday in a few weeks.

I haven't rushed in a few months so I don't know what the line is like now, but the seats are usually in the front orchestra on the extreme sides. They aren't great, but they're not too bad.

And just fyi, I don't think they have rush for Saturday night, just the matinee.

The rush seats for CHICAGO are terrible IMO. I could not even see Velma's entrace which is a highlight I think.

You think everything's terrible in your honest opinion.

Listen to NBC, she's more dependable with her answer than bronxboundexpress is.

Do you think I'm lying? I will say it again. I could not see Velma's upstage entrance from the second row last seat on the side. Go cook dinner CJ.

I've sat in the second row rush seat.... I've never missed anything.

The rush seats aren't as good as they were at the shubert (god I miss that theatre) but you don't miss anything onstage.

Yeah she was there... She's supposed to be there. Again, I say, I had no problems seeing anything.

Were you on the left of the house or the right? Were you in the very last seat on the side?

I understand what you're saying. I've been in the very last seat in the second row on both sides of the house. Is there a particular reason why you feel the need to pick a fight with me all the time? sheesh.

Getting back on topic, UDJAT, the rush seats are fine.... NBC and I have been in them many a time with no problems.

Getting back off-topic, CJR - you seem to be the lady to ask -
who are the current Roxie and Velma?

CJR
#12re: Chicago RUSH
Posted: 10/29/04 at 10:36pm

Velma is the wonderful Terra C. MacLeod (www.terracmacleod.com) and Roxie is the ever dependable and talented Charlotte d'Amboise.

CJR, I want to make a recommendation for you. I think you need to take some time off work or make an appointment with someone. Tell them you are having dillusions that poeple on websites are trying to pick fights with you when they're really trying to solve a confusing issue about how we can both sit in the same seat but only one of us being able to have a nonobstructed view. You do seem tense a lot. I know you work hard but relax.

No problem. Terra will be moving to the tour at the end of November and the current tour Velma, Brenda Braxton, will be returning to Broadway.

I'm getting very excited for Brenda Braxton. I think she's sexy.

It just seems to me that you have this constant need to be contrary to everything I say...

Brenda's a fabulous Velma and I love her dearly... I'd just kill to see some new blood (who's talented -- no more La Train Wreck bullsh!t)

Yes I can sing lol

I wouldn't want to do Chicago again though

Were you in CHICAGO on Broadway CJR?

CJR

No, but the running joke with all of us is that I could step in at any given moment.

Aside from that, I've played Velma twice.... almost 3 times but had to turn it down due to commutation distance from my house to the rehearsal space.

Who's better Velma to you? Terra McCleshod or Brenda Braxton?

Try calling her by her real name and maybe I'll answer.

Love them, but neither are my favorite. (which doesn't imply at all that they're bad)
