I've searched BWW, and found nothing on this, so I figured I'd ask.
Are there any discounts available for the Chicago production of Spelling Bee? Do they do a rush or anything? Is there a Chicago "tkts"??
Also, if I jsut go and get tickets, are the cheaper seats there ok? The seating chart makes it look like that is a rather small theater, so would it matter?
Thanks!
EDITED!! My sincerest apologies to anyone I may have offended by my unfortunate mispelling.

your title made me giggle...sorry! You are thinking faster than you type
Wow, that's an unfortunate misspelling.
In fact, that last word is almost a sentence now.

I guess today is just THE day for typos. Offical typos that is.
I know that they have a student price which I believe I paid $30 for. Hope that helps!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
My friend Christine Werny is Logainne in the Chicago Bee and she told me that Weds. Matinees are good for lottery/student rush.
If you go on a Weds. your almost promised a ticket at the discounted price...whatever that is. Notice I said ALMOST promised, but your chances are good.
Hope it helps!
Unforunately, I'm only in town on a weekend day. I was hoping to catch a Sunday matinee. We have Wicked tickets for Saturday night, and were leaving Sunday afternoon.

seriously, don't buy tickets. it's a great show, but the lottery is the easiest thing to win. i have been there several times and have never seen anyone get turned away at the lottery. literally, they have had extra seats a few times. do the lotto. save some money. buy me something pretty.
Yeah, I got a flyer today that says if you use the code SPELL you save like $20 on Tuesdays-Thursdays.
Thought I'd let you know.

yeah the lottery is ridiculously easy to win...I was soo nervous and scared that i made a my friends put in their names and all three of us got picked. It might be a little harder now that it's summer but I still think it will be a peice of cake to win it.
Agreeing with everyone - try for the lottery. If not, they have student discounts and such (as stated by others).
If you end up getting seats ahead of time, the theatre is small and intimate, I'm sure any seat you get will be great. :)
Enjoy the show - the cast is amazingly talented and it's a wonderful production!
