I don’t know if I agree the Public has lost its relevance (yet), but I definitely think their programming the last handful of years has been less than exciting. I used to attend at least one or two Public shows a year, but I haven’t seen a show there in the last couple of years.Even the few times I’ve been slightly interested and considered buying a ticket, the ticket prices were always way too steep for my interest level.

Saw this last weekend and, unfortunately, found very little to enjoy about it. It’s certainly an interesting story, but was overlong and felt like they didn’t know exactly what they wanted to say. I saw this last night and found it to be one of the most lopsided shows I’ve ever seen.The musical performances are excellent. The musicians, the vocals, and the dancing are all electric. I saw this on Friday evening (their second preview, I believe) and thought it was very good. Very interesting, great performances (Brandon Uranowitz is a standout for me). I know they are still very much in the process of rewrites and such, but I thought it was in quite good shape already. It's a very thoughtful and moving (and often, surprisingly funny) show. I would recommend it.

Reading the legal doc, it’s quite clear that Adjmi outright copied the book. What boggles my mind are the things Admji added to his script (the houseboat wars, the Tony Orlando reference) that are so specific and unnecessary to have added in his script - things that could not possibly be coincidental unless he was using “Making Rumors” as his source material.Seeing how blatantly the script follows the viewpoint, arcs, “characters,” and literal dialogue from “Making Rumors,” I don’t understand...

Absolutely thrilled! Saw this last year in London and it instantly became one of my favorite musicals. Very much hoping the original cast starts the run here in New York.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago (before Mia was out) and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I was going more for the two women (both great, Mia giving a truly excellent, nuanced performance), but I thought the play itself was very funny and I was genuinely moved in many moments. The characters had a lot more depth to them than I had anticipated (especially after reading some of the reviews on here) and it was a happy surprise to find myself really rooting for them.

I saw "Operation Mincemeat" last summer and found it to be one of the most perfect (a word I don't use lightly) musicals I've ever seen. I had absolutely no trouble connecting/understanding (or whatever being "too British" means).I think this show will find its audience here and could have a good run. It's certainly one I would see multiple times if it ran here and would be my first recommendation to family/friends.

For me, the thing that I find most frustrating about this ad is not the cherry-picking of quotes, but the fact that the Brantley quote is from a production where the show was SIGNIFICANTLY different. To me, it’s beyond dishonest to attribute the Brantley review to what the current production is, because it really feels like a significantly different show. Not that the Williamstown production was perfect, but I fully believe that if that version of the show was the one currently playing on Bro...

This social post doesn’t feel clever to me at all, particularly because Brantley was describing an entirely different production that truly felt like a very, very different show than what is currently on Broadway. If they wanted to use this kind of marketing, at least take (real) quotes that are describing the same production.To me, all this tells me is that they had a better show back in 2018 and made it worse (which, to me, is 100% true).
