I'm hoping to get rush tickets for Chicago on Sunday and I've only rushed when box offices have opened at 10. What time do people start lining up when it opens at noon? Should I expect more people since it's new years day? I haven't rushed Chicago in almost four years and at that point they were selling rush tickets a half hour before curtain, so I'm not sure how popular it is these days. Thanks!

I tried to rush for the Tuesday matinee. Like you, I had rushed a few years ago and it was super easy to just walk up and get a ticket. I thought since it was an unusual performance time due to the holiday, it would be a breeze so I got there a little after 9am, The line was probably at least 50 people. When I eventually got to the window (the line moved quick), I was told they weren't doing rush during the holidays and would resume on 1/3. She did offer me some tickets at a discount. I looked after I got back to my room and the prices were the same as if I had used a discount code from Theater Mania.

I guess I should call and clarify that they're not doing it, then. It seems rude that they wouldn't put up a sign or something saying they weren't doing rush. I looked a little, but hopefully I can find some semi reasonable non-rush tickets. Thanks for the info!
