Was JLT secretly the understudy all along or did she just come in when Hecht got ill? My friend saw it yesterday and said she was totally off book and new the blocking.

I saw Tom Wopat in Sondheim on Sondheim. He was clearly quite ill. He CROAKED through all of his songs. Having seen him in other musicals previously, he has a fantastic voice. He should have called out. Actually they should have made him. Since then when I am upset someone I want to see is out, I try and remember how awful he was due to illness and be happy I have an understudy.

Victoria Clark is great but she (and several other cast members) were out on Wednesday. You might want to see if you can find out if she will be on when you are planning to go. If you decide to see something else, I thought Shucked was very fun! I was surprised how much I liked it!

Friday 12/22 has some better alternatives time wise.

The final Sondheim musical "Here We Are" starts at 1pm and is 2 hours 20 minutes.

2pm matinee for "I Need That" and the show is only 100 minutes so you would get out before 4pm.

There is also a 2pm matinee for "Danny and The Deep Blue Sea" but tix are expensive but it is only 80 minutes long.

When does Clark reduce her schedule? Which performances will she take off. Planning to go next month and want to catch her. Thanks.

I thought Reeve was the weakest part of the show but I don't see Jordan being an improvement. Was hoping for someone sensational to take over. Really think this kills my desire to see it again.

I did the 5pm Saturday Titanique and very easily made it via subway to Times Square for my 8pm Here Lies Love. Even had time to get a snack. You will be totally fine via subway.
