If you're NYC local, I am CERTAIN you will be able to get tickets somewhere in the $0 to $35 range on your choice of performance dates and in decently good seats. Look at the inventory available for this show...there is no logical reason to buy now.
(This will be true of every new play, and for numerous other shows too. Just wait.)

Being a local - are there discounts for being a NYC resident? I live in Los Angeles. I have tickets for "Moulin Rouge" for their first performance on Friday, 9/24. Looking for some new shows to see that weekend. Yes, there are lots of seats that weekend when I'm there, and always use the code at the box office. Saves a lot on the service charges.

No, I just meant that if you're not bound to a specific date it can be easier to find cheap tix (i.e. going on a weeknight, or a less-sold performance). Either way, you should be fine buying Chicken & Biscuits tickets when you arrive in the city (hopefully at a cheaper rate than is currently available).
Unless you'd like to spend more on tickets by all means don't let me or anyone else stop you :) I'm sure its producers would be thrilled...

Thanks for the clarification on that. I didn't think there was a discount for being a local. Before COVID, I would get to NYC 3-4 times a year to see all the new shows. Been doing it for decades. Yes, I always do my homework for all my NYC trips in terms of codes, what's selling, what will be at TKTS, etc. There are lots of seats, so I'll use the discount code at the box office. Thanks so much.
