To home school or not to home school. Any opinions out there?

Gee, you gave us so much detail to consider.
Keep a child in regular school as long and as much as possible.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Yes, but how do they get into school on time? and is it really possible to keep up with tutoring?

It depends on a lot of things....the school's willingness to work things out and child's motivation names two of the big ones. Does the kid in question HAVE a job? Or are you just trying to figure out how "they" do it?

Just trying to get an idea of how many parents prefer home schooling or home instruction compared to brick and morter.
How they handled testing and if they had to drop classes.
right now, just trying to figure out how "they" do it

There are way too many factors to have a consensus. Some bway shows work really hard to let the kids be as normal as possible and work around school schedules (poss with modification). TV and Film, hire teachers FOR the students, and often those kids attend regular school while on hiatus or not on set.
