Chita Rivera's one woman show Chita Rivera A Dancer's Life has been scrapped at least for the Denver and LA run. Here is the link to Penny Parker's column announcing it in today's Rocky Mountan News. Scroll down it is near the bottom. I am pretty bummed!

You are correct sir. Denver wasn't announced until yesterday.
Actually the Los Angeles run was cancelled but the Denver show was still on until a couple of days ago

When I read it I took a double dose of valium, went to bed, and cried.
I've structured the entire 'trip of a lifetime', 'ooooops there goes my inheritance' visit around seeing Chita.
I adore Chita like no other. I can't believe that she would do this to me!
It defies reason that GOD HERSELF cannot get backing.
My consolation prizes are OK. Eartha Kitt is singing at Cafe Carlyle and I've tickets to South Pacific in concert. But I've seen Eartha here [Syd, Aus] and well- South Pacific doesn't have Chita in it.

Posted: 4/25/05 at 7:31pmJust read that this morning. My friend and I think something fishy is going on! They cancel the tour and re-schedule it within a week. And change venues? This show was already part of our subscriber's season. We thought that if it did end up going into production soon, it would at least play here since it is all over our subscriber's material.
