Just saw Chita Rivera's show at Feinstein's/54 Below. It was fabulous. She is doing this agin for several nights. I recommend it highly! Today's NY Times has an article on Chita as well.

I caught the show a couple of months ago in SF at Feinstein's at the Nikko. Simply spectacular. Flawless. Every move (and she moved a lot), every breath, every note was done with the training and assurance of decades of mastery.

If you have never seen Chita - by all means GO! I'm at the point now that I can recite the banter between songs with her."
Same here. After the 3rd time of seeing her do the same material in different venues, I’m no longer excited whenever she announces a new date somewhere. And I agree, seeing her perform her show live needs to be seen, at least once. Just watching her lightly toss and flip her skirt to enhance her movement is a Master Class in itself. Just watch videos of her throughout her career and just that detail alone is sometimes more vital than a step itself. She’s even admitted that she can not do any of the WEST SIDE STORY choreography without the skirt. She learned it from day one with the skirt.
