i got a color playbill when i saw the show on April 6th...not surprised that they have gone B&W now...probably have been B&W for a while.

There are two versions of the black and white one; one looks exactly like the color version, but it's not color. The other is JUST the car with the family in it and the title -- no background. It looks really funny.

espically since the logo the show still uses (inculding on the playbills) inculdes Ellen Marlow in the car as Jemima Potts, but shes not in it any more. shes not even listed in the playbill at all.

There's no use in changing it, they'd just going to have to reprint more covers in a few weeks when the next Jemima takes over.

Im sure they could change it if they wanted to. With computers and technology im sure they could edit her out. or go with a different more generic logo.


I dont know, i just think once a person leaves a show their image shouldn’t still be used as the shows logo even if it is tiny. Its almost like, to a much lesser degree, using Christina’s face as the charity logo after she leaves the show. Its just odd.

There was a thread like a week or so ago about the Equity rules involving that sort of thing -- use of an actor's image after his or her departure. 'twas interesting.

Either way, I guess it's not worth it, under the assumption that people may not care all that much, or look that closely. Plus, Ellen doesn't have *one* replacement; her three understudies are rotating until the show closes. Lots of changes.

What was the consensus on that thread? I missed it.
They could always go with the generic car logo.

Or just put a big red ? over Jemima's face. That would be interesting.

According to Playbill.com Marc has already returned to Chitty. And Jaclyn has already taken over. Sunday must have been Janelle's last show as Jemima.

Who is on for Chip Zien? Also, does anyone know where I can find the video of Chitty's performance on the Thanksgiving Day Parade? I would really appreciate it.
