I feel like Hot Feet will be nominated and will win, solely for the purpose that it was a DANCE musical. The show sucked, but the choreography was pretty good, though slightly repetitive at times. But Maurice Hines had to essentially choreograph 2 hours worth of material. That's my vote.

P.S. If not Hot Feet, then Wedding Singer is the only other clear winner in my mind!

Posted: 5/13/06 at 5:50amI think Kathleen Marshall is the likely winner for Pajama Game, with the possibility of Casey Nicholaw snatching it up for Drowsy, as he lost the Tony last season for Spamalot.

If DROWSY sweeps - and it's possible - Nicholaw could win (since he won't win for director [Doyle has that one sewn up]). Otherwise, it could be WEDDING SINGER's one and only win. I hated WEDDING SINGER, but I thought it was the best Jerry Mitchell choreography yet in a show Jerry Mitchell didn't choreograph.

P.S. - Sorry about the brackets within the parentheses. Yikes!

Totally off the track here but since someone mentioned jerry Mitchell it was interesting to find out he was one of indians in the opening number of Will Rogers & elsewhere in the show

If Nicholaw wins, I won't be upset, however he really doesn't deserve it as much as Kathleen Marshall. The Wedding Singer has about 3 moments of good dance, I was impressed with the rest.

Although MH did save what he could of HOT FEET...he didnt do quite enough to make it salvagable. So I doubt that he'll win.
I see this one as a race between Kathleen Marshall & Casey Nicholaw. As you guys have said...if Drowsy starts to sweep, and well frankly it damn well deserves too, then I could see Nicholaw taking the trophy - although I think the much more dance heavy show, with slightly better choreography and painted pictures is Kathleen Marshall's THE PAJAMA GAME!
And the past 2 yrs winners of Choreography have gone to Revivals...2004 going to Ms. Marshall for WONDERFUL TOWN and 2005 to Jerry Mitchell for LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. I'm pretty sure the constanly working Ms. Marshall will be awarded not only for her splendid work here, but also as a special bonus to her darling 2 GENTS from the Park last summer.
