I've heard rumors that Chorus Line and Hairspray are coming off soon. Is that true? I hope not, so many good shows are leaving.

Also, does anyone know what show will be in the Nederlander? Just curious...

I don't think Hairspray is going anywhere yet. A Chorus Line, I couldn't tell you. Haven't seen it or payed attention to it's grosses.

Broadway Shows I've Seen: Hairspray, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (2003), The Wedding Singer, Spamalot, Riverdance, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity (revival), Drowsy Chaperone, The Lion King, Dreamgirls(2010 Tour).

Around this time last year A Chorus Line started to make a very nice profit and continued to do so until the strike happened. It's been averaging $350,000 in grosses & about 65% capacity since them. The Mario Lopez stunt casting plus warmer weather should boost sales back up to more respectable levels. That, plus ACL should continue to make a profit over the spring & summer this year. I'd expect ACL to be around at least 2 more years.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

A friend of mine's mother said she talked to someone who was involved with the shows. I don't know if it's true, but it upset me a lot and I was hoping that you guys would tell me otherwise. As for the Nederlander...if they paint over that wall I'm going to freak.
