I believe this is going to be a no-stage-door play. Just a wave, if that. Michael Cera doesn't seem to like interacting with fans either, which is fine.

Its one thing to sign for theatre fans but the advent of camera phones and secondary markets has created a bloodlust by people trying to make a buck. I gather he'll never come out and the other actors will want to avoid the melee created by his absence."
Strangely, I was hoping that Chris Evans wouldn't stage door for this very reason. I've read before that he deals with anxiety and the crazy environment of rabid fans and eBayers probably isn't ideal. The eBayers are probably the reason Amy Schumer didn't stagedoor either. I'm actually surprised Andrew Garfield is coming out every night. There's an Instagram video of him refusing the obvious eBayers more than one autograph and not putting up with their rude stage door behavior, but I'm sure not every huge celebritywould be comfortable being firm with people like that.
It's also much easier for Lobby Hero to say no one is stagedooring rather than the others coming out and a certain breed of stagedoorer assuming Evans isn't sociable."
Can I have a link to that Andrew Garfield video ? Please
Did anyone here go to Lobby Hero on Friday, March 8th? If so, did any of the cast sign autographs and take photos or did they just come out and leave? I know they have not signed or taken photos since previews started.
I am not saying they should or should not do the stage door and I am not judging them either way. That is not the intention of this post.
I’m just curious about that particular performance because I went that night to the show and did not go to the stage door afterwards because the crowd was insane at the stage door.

Thanks. Someone said he signed for like 10 people on Wednesday night so at least he did it once.

I saw Frozen on Friday night next door. The guys minding the stage door for 2st are real aggressive and obnoxious with the crowds walking past (especially especially considering those crowds are from other shows).

the security at the Hayes is not the nicest -- when I saw the show last sunday night, the crowd at stage door wasn't huge and was extremely well behaved and mild. ?hey said no one is signing, which is fine. Brian Tyree Henry actually came out and started signing and the security guys looked FURIOUS that he did that and utterly disgusted.
They started screaming at everyone waiting, "show me your LOBBY HERO tickets now." I'm totally for showing tickets at stage doors but the way they acted was kinda nasty.

Brian Tyree Henry signed tonight (3/13). Chris Evans came out and quickly signed for a few people near the front of the barricade. Michael Cera and Bel Powley did not come out.

So I saw a picture of Chris signing captain America merch. I am surprised security let him do that.

Just an FYI, Bel Powley quickly came out signed for maybe 3-4 people and got into the car. Tyree Henry signed/took photos with everyone. Chris Evans signed for a lot of people quickly (maybe 5 minutes). Did not see Cera (this was after Sunday matinee)

I'm pretty sure he doesn't need security's "permission" to do anything.
