I don't know about the guy in it, but the voice sounds A LOT like Broadway vet Howard McGillin.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around...

I love that commercial. It's so cute. One night I Wicked_Elphie and I were talking on the phone and I was like "Whoa! That's totally Christian Borle!!" I've since recorded the commerical on tape, since I'm a loser like that and tape all kinds of random theater stuff.

Is he lazy eyed or just really bad at winking?
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

I knew it!
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

The woman who stands opposite of Christian and looks at him funny is Barbara Marineau. She played Mrs. Potts on Broadway for a few years. Was in "A Man of No Importance" and "The Women." I did a show with her a few years ago in stock. Great performer. Too bad she doesn't say anything in the commercial!

He played Gavin Creel's role in TMM. He was also in William Finn's "Elegies" at Lincoln Center. He's on that recording.

that's funny. what i get from watching the commercial is that the guy's a too-bit actor who can't really sing, but croon on key...? and he's now playing jimmy?

I really enjoy his work in "Elegies." I think the "too-bit crooner" thing he pulls off on the commerical would be called acting. Although, I have never seen him live, so I can't speak to whether he's always like that or not. But I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

CB is a great Jimmy in Millie.
