Anyone have any nice stories to share about her past concerts? I have only seen her in Grey Gardens so not sure what to expect... but so excited! :)

Since I live across the street, I will be going :)
<3 Christine Ebersole.
I saw Christine in concert about a month ago and was very surprised how fantastic she was. I don't know why I was surprised as I'd seen her in several stage roles....but I just didn't know. She's great and has a fantastic rapport with the audience. Her comedy background is very evident.
I hope you enjoy yourself, she has a remarkable voice.
INTERMISSION.... AAAAAMAAAAZING!!!!
Ok, just posting a quickie review...
I thought I understood how talented she was from seeing her in Grey Gardens, but I had NO CLUE!
Normally audiences of concerts like these (it was an older crowd!) like to hear the familiar standards or the songs that the performer might be known for. People get disappointed otherwise and that's generally how it goes because we are creatures of habits. It's a rare performer who can have you fully engaged in something completely opposite from what they are known for. I say this to make the point of how amazing she was to have been able to pull off such a GORGEOUS but completely random and (for the most part) unrecognizable song list. She rarely referenced anything of her professional past without connecting it somehow to engage the audience on a personal level. I felt like I learned a lot about Christine the person rather than sitting through a musical ride of her past shows (which don't get me wrong, is also enjoyable if done well). And don't get me started on her ability to sell the songs. There were several times when I thought to myself, "I am loving this song NOT because of the song, but because of how she is interpreting it". She came out after to sign CDs that they were selling. Wonderful night, I have a much deeper appreciation for her now. Definitely a fan!

I third those feelings! She was the first performer in this past season's OCPAC Cabaret and although the other performers were good too she was amazing and the best in the series!
I saw Christine last Fall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center and she was amazing........so talented, and a gorgeous voice. When I saw that she was coming to CSUN, my friend and I immediately wanted to get ticket to see her again. But, we had just purchased tickets for Lea Salonga at The Morongo Casino near Palm Springs, for the same night. Can't be 2 places at once.
Needless to say, when we showed up last night to see Lea, we were told that the concert was cancelled. When we asked why, she said she didn't know. The gal at the box office was very nice, refunded our tickets and gave us 2 free meals at the buffet to make up for it.
Glad everyone who saw CE, had a good time. How could you not?
First time I saw Christine Ebersole and became a fan was in a cable television production of CAMELOT. She played "Lady Guinevere".

nealb1,
I remember reading one of Lea's tweets a couple weeks ago that her Morongo concert got canceled and she didn't know why. Plus it was the 2nd time that casino canceled a concert of hers.
The casino could've at least let people know ahead of time. I wonder if that happens a lot with casinos. People probably would still take part in other casino activities just so they don't waste a trip. I know my family would.
