Christopher John O'Neill out of Book of Mormon

Did Chris possibly get injured?   He's off the website cast list, Nyk Bielak is the listed Cunningham now.  Nyk is very good if you have not seen him before.   Also wondering who the next Elder Price is going to be, Kyle Selig was only announced to perform through the end of FEB.   Selig is excellent also.

I saw it on Jan. 27th w/ Bielak and he (Bielak) was listed on the website as Cunningham then, so not sure when O'Neill actually left. And agreed, Bielak and Selig were fantastic.

If I recall correctly, Grey Henson, who plays Elder McKinley, told us at stage door that it was both Gavin Creel's last day and Christopher John O'Neill's. So that would have been Sun Jan 3.

 

Edit: Actually not sure because it looks like he has Book of Mormon-related Twitter posts past that date? Must have misheard!

Edit #2: Wikipedia to the rescue! "On January 24th, 2016, Christopher John O'Neill performed his last show as Elder Cunningham. He was replaced by longtime Elder Cunningham standby Nyk Bielak." I think Kyle Selig and Nyk Bielak give a younger, fresher spin to the lead pair, and it's somehow enhanced by the fact that they're also off-stage best buddies.

Chris had been periscoping backstage every Tuesday and then kept tweeting it would "be back soon" when people asked, though, so I don't know what's up with that.

 

Also, as of Jan. 23, Nyk was Cunningham for the next "5 weeks."

When I asked a few weeks ago I was told that Chris was out temporarily for personal reasons!

Nic Rouleau is to take over from Kyle following the performance on Feb 19th I believe
