I just got over seeing the FABULOUS cast twice in a week because they were so good! But, I was wondering if anyone can post some reviews about the Wicked tour in Cincinnati, Ohio. That's what I've heard they're going to next... So please? Some reviews on how they've been doing!
(i know it's not there YET, I'm just posting in advance...)

I really don't want to make another Wicked thread, especially because I'm not posting a full-out review.
I saw the tour in Cleveland last night. Katie Rose Clarke (Galinda) is this production's greatest asset. Her voice was beautiful and crystal clear. She nailed all of her lines while not being an over-the-top unrealistic Galinda. She gave Galinda a good character arc and we could actually see the transformation.
Overall I thought the production was a little lacking. Carmen Cusack (Elphaba) was a superior, consistent actor; however, she hit so many flat notes that I was disappointed. Yes, Elphaba is a demanding role but you really should not be hitting multiple flat notes during every song. Cliffton Hall (Fiyero) seemed like he gave up on trying to find any depth in Fiyero and choose to perform just for laughs; he also hit numerous flat notes which is inexcusable for someone who sings two major songs. Deedee Magno Hall (Nessarose) did not make a smooth transformation to the Wicked Witch of the East. Throughout the first act she was a sweet young woman. When we meet her again in the second act you almost don't believe you are seeing the same person. All the other actors were completely forgetable.
My other small complaints were mostly tech related so it's not necessarily the production's fault but more limitations imposed by the theatre in which they performed. The cast seemed too small for the State Theatre stage and the sound system was a little on the quiet side.
I'm glad that I finally saw Wicked but I wouldn't pay $50 again to sit in the upper balcony for such a cheap, subpar production.
I didn't get to see the tour. But my brother told me that the cast was awesome.

I saw the cast in Cincinnati and Cleveland. I took my aunt to see it in Cleveland and I thought both Katie and Carmen were excellent. The guy playing Fieryo I coudn't hear him in Cleveland and Cincinnati. But I do think the show is in wonderful shape. If you can see Carmen in this role, she blew me away. Great voice
I was very satisfied with the tour cast when I saw the show back in December! If you get a chance to see the tour, do so.
Katie Rose Clarke is the best Glinda since Jennifer Laura Thompson. Carmen Cusack is also wonderful.
