Any idea who this could possibly be? The role wasn't yet cast according to the cast list that came out last week.

I imagine they have casted the role and are holding off for a special announcement.

Yes, it's the easiest role in the show to "stunt cast" as it's large enough to gain interest from a "name" actress, it's funny, with a few scene stealing lines and singing isn't really required.

They go into rehearsals in a couple weeks, I bet they'll announce next week. Robyn Goodman and her team have done a lovely job at spacing out these recent casting announcements to create awesome buzz for both the broadway and touring companies.

How about a private PM to those you feel less informed then yourself instead of showing your brilliance to the board.
We all learn at some point in our lives to overlook our own and others' mistakes but to self-appoint as correctional officers-well good for you-you now have a cause-how about hitting yourself over the head with a dictionary and asking for a donation.

I completely agree with SweetLips. I find posts containing nonstandard grammar and spelling far less disruptive and annoying than posts intended to correct them.

Disruptive? Lizzy's post was 3 words. Easy to dismiss and continue reading the thread. But the criticisms of Lizzy's post have been a paragraph long and increasingly insulting.

@ chrisampm2 - But it is off topic. This is not a thread about Grammar, It's about who is going to play Madame.

If Beth is playing the step-Mother, i wonder if the reason it hasn't been announced officially is because she is not a big enough star to warrant a separate press release or something like that.

I think it was more like she was the last one to sign on the dotted line, after others had been offered the part and turned it down for various reasons.

That's why I imagine they'll announce on or near their first rehearsal date. Which I believe is after next week.
