Posted: 8/25/03 at 3:17pmNo, he's not, but the post about his CD got me thinking? What parts should he play if he ever did get a job on Broadway? Any suggestions?

I could see him as mark, a little bit. I remember Simon saying that he would be a much better singer on Broadway. Obviously Simon was wrong, but I do agree that he could be good on Bway. The only thing is if he can act. He would have to play a geeky role though.

Posted: 8/25/03 at 3:23pmClay doesn't wear glasses. I see where you're coming from though. I just meant that he doesn't have the personality of Mark or the depth that we see in "Halloween."

I would love to hear him sing "Suddenly Seymour!"
I think his voice is too big and powerful to play Mark...he has the right look, but Mark doesn't have to have a great voice. I would love to hear him do "One Song Glory", but, sadly, he could probably never be accepted physically as Roger.
I would also love to hear him sing "Music of the Night"...I was talking to Sebastian Arcelus right after Ruben won, and Sebastian said that his brother called him up and told him that Clay would make a GREAT Mark. I said, "Nah, I'd actually like to see him play the Phantom." Sebastian made this face and was all, "Isn't that kid, like, 15 though?"

Posted: 8/25/03 at 3:25pmLOL! Simon said that he didn't like to see Clay's face when he sang? What a better role than the Phantom! He wears a mask! I apologize about my glasses mess up.

Posted: 8/25/03 at 3:34pmIf he was black he would make a great Mereb in Aida. Jack in Into The Woods or the title role in Joseph.

Some friends and I had this same discussion and we decided he should be Jon in tick, tick...BOOM! He could blow the roof off 30/90.
I do think he would be a great Mark as well.

Posted: 8/25/03 at 3:59pmYes. He would be great in tick tick. He could also do the What A Way to Spend A Day number well. That's my favorite from the show.

Posted: 8/25/03 at 4:27pmI can see him as a "Mark in RENT. Since I'm a huge fan of POTO, possibly a Raoul in that?

Posted: 8/25/03 at 4:30pmYeah I can possibly see him as the Phantom! I saw that AI episode where Simon mentioned him being in POTO!!!

I really can't see him in anything on Broadway. I wasn't that impressed with him. But he would be better than Reuben, though.

Posted: 8/25/03 at 5:50pmWell, whatever he plays, I'm there~ But am I the only one who actually thinks he's good looking? I think he's kind of pretty, a look which usually attracts me in men.
