Posted: 8/25/03 at 5:55pmI guess when they string together the inevitable Duran Duran musical -- it's just a matter of time, right? they'll call it "Rio!" or "Union of the Snake!" -- Clay could be Nick Rhodes.

Posted: 8/26/03 at 3:18pmClay has a Broadway voice in my opinion. I think he would make a kiss ass Mark in Rent. In a photo shoot of his, he struck a Mark-like pose, making a square with his hands in front of his face and was wearing a sweater, and he looked perfect. I could definitely imagine him in that role. I also would love to see him as Motel in Fiddler- he looks and could sing the part well. I would LOVE to see him as SEymour in Little Shop as well. He could be an awesome replacement. Than, he could costar with Ruben as Audrey!

Ruben as Audrey II....
The plant?
The voice??
Or both??
I can picture him playing teh plant and the voice...... he could probably swallow an entire person with no problem....

Posted: 8/26/03 at 3:41pmI have said in another thread that he would be an interesting choice for Peter Pan and could really sing the hell out of Huck Finn in BIG RIVER.

Posted: 8/26/03 at 3:44pmBilly ______ the last thing we need is a kiss-ass Mark. And, as Greg Brady learned when they made him Johnny Bravo because he fit the suit, clothes do not an actor make.

If they were casting for a musical with a lot of foliage, like South Pacific, Clay would be perfectly typecast as a dark, leafy green.

I think he should sing someBilly Joel stuff, to bad he isnt a pianist, I think he would rock movin out. Another good role for the lad is prolly Schroeder in the revival version of YGMCB,
He would be a good American for Chess, and also he would rock my sox as Simon Zealots.
Clay would be a good Man#1 in Songs for a new world, he has it in him. And he is perfect for I love you youre perfect....

Posted: 8/27/03 at 12:00pmI've always figured that he could be awesome on any JRB music. I'd kill to hear him sing "The Old Red Hills of Home"
