Seussical
Annie
King and I (some songs)
Honk
You're a good man Charlie Brown
Snoopy!
The Wizard of Oz
A year with frog and toad
all the others mentioned are very complex and mundane for a child's mind of that age, so I would reccommend something very simple

Watch out for Wicked. My daughter's kindergarten teacher informed me that my 5 year old was explaining to all of her friends how important it was to be 'popular'. Seems that the 5 year olds don't get the irony thing.
My vote would be for Annie.

Yeah, Wicked might would be good, but i have a 5 year old cousin, and in Defying Gravity, and The Wizzard and I, she started crying, and said "The ugly green lady scared me" But it all depends. But definatly not Rent, you don't kids to listen at 5, they might turn out like me, and go to school and start singing TMOLM, or Contact, or something like that.
