Clean Musicals?

Clean Musicals?

I work with 4-6 year olds at a school and as an independent lesson plan I am doing it relating to broadway and in addition I want them to listen to some of the music from non disney musicals, are there any shows that do not have cursing and a child would be able to comprehend...any ideas would help thanks!

well i was going more for the clean aspect on piazza. and some songs in once on this island are at least fun and upbeat enough to hold their attention and possibly understand. but hey, was just a thought.

And Annie. Awww... I know it's overdone times a trillion, but 5 year olds singing "Tomorrow" can't help but be adorable.

Stuff from the first act of Into the Woods would be fine.

Yes to "Snoopy! The Musical". Did anyone else see the Hunter-Sutton rendition a couple years ago? It's an adorable show with fun kid-friendly songs!

While I agree with the sentiment here, If they are only 5 - by 6 they will be walking around singing "Class" from CHICAGO and "Son of a Bitch!" will be in their lexicon. LOL!

Snoopy! The Musical.. it's better than You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, then of course they could see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat. Plus, that one teaches them a story from the bible. In a very humorous way.
