We are very sad to annonce that we will have to remove Angela Christian Online [http://angelachristian.tripod.com] from the Internet very soon. So anyone grap the chance to go and visit the site for the last time and save everything you'd like to keep (pics, information etc.)

It's a shame that we won't be able to go on developing this informative website. You may be wondering what made us do that. All we will say about this “We got this request from someone we'd better listen to”

Thanks a lot for anyone who supported us in this project, it could have been a big hit.

Sincerely,

Hanna and Diana

What? It's still up. The automatic link just included the right bracket so it comes up as a 404.

No one can make you shut down unless you're hosting copyrighted material and if that's the case, you can remove the offending material and continue with your site.

It looks like it was a quasi-official website since there is a way to contact Angela on the website. If that is the case, it could be that the performer or performer's representative asked for the site to be removed.

If it is purely a fan website, I agree with the KuhnKrazy that removal of copyrighted material should solve the issue. In that case, most of the photos would end up having to be taken down.

Since it was a tripod website, what was the problem? I thought the only rule was that you couldn't use someone name as a domain name (ie. www.angelachristian.com) without getting their permission.

That's not true. Ask Joseph Molnar.
