I went to NYC on Wednesday for a Birthday trip of 3 days. So we checked into our favorite hotel- Quality Hotel Times Square. We decided to try the Avenue Q lotto and DRS lotto, so we did Avenue Q and lost and did DRS and won but because it was my aunt and not me, we couldnt get the tixs so we bought cheap seats for Avenue Q.

Avenue Q was really good. Stephanie and Barret were awesome. The whole cast was simply hilarious. The best part was right before "For Now" Rod says "Im happy now, I've discovered scientology". I met everyone from the cast expect Christian, it was an awesome show but I still dont understand how it beat Wicked at the Tonys. I mean it was good but Wicked is just... ah.

The next day went to Bryant Park to watch ASU, LENNON and LION KING preform. Watched soundcheck of LENNON, LION KING and ACTORS FUND. It was amazing. Frenchie Davis from American Idol and Rent preformed and all, she was amazing. And some guy at the end of the soundcheck rocked. The show started and ASU was up first, Jenn Gamabetese did ALITTLE LESS CONVERSTATION with such awesomeness. Leah Hocking did LET YOURSELF GO as loony as ever although I miss the crazy statues. Sharon Wilkins did THERE'S ALWAYS ME, as amazing as ever. Then Jenn, Leah were joyed by Brad Anderson (Cheyenne's understudy) and Mark Price's understudy to preform TEDDY BEAR/HOUND DOG. It was great but I missed Mark and Cheyenne. Then went over and got everyone's autograph expect for Mark's understudy and got a pic with Jenn. LENNON was pretty good, they did IMAGEN, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE, MIND GAMES and another song. It was good but would I pay to see it, no. LION KING was Kissy Simmons singing Shadowlands, The man who plays Simba singing HE LIVES IN ME, and they joined together to sing CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT. It was amazing.

Then walked around and enjoyed the city and all tried DRS lotto again and lost. Almost got Piazza tixs from TKTS but too expensive for my blood. So we just stuck to what we were gonna see WICKED.

WICKED night was also my 17th birthday. I went in and was Orch Row F partial view seat 23, it was amazing, I was so close. Megan Hilty was an amazing Glinda, "Popular" was so funny, she is very good and is very bubbly. Ben Veeren was the best Wizard, I hated Geogre Hearn, Ben made the Wizard amazing, he and Shoshana rocked Wonderful. Shoshana brought me to tears during The Wizard and I, she just seemed so vunerable and so exicted. I loved her Defying Gravity and No Good Deed, they gave me chills. David Ayers was a very good Fiyero. I noticed they cut the lines before Dancing Thru Life that Fiyero goes "It seems like its up to me to corrupt the minds of my fellow students..." wasnt in it. Jeffery Kuhn was a good Boq, I miss Chris Fitz, but Jeffery was a very dorky Boq and I loved it. Rue was a funny Morrible, she didnt have the vocal of Carol but she had such comedy chops. She seemed drunk though. Michelle as Nessa was the same, she is still as diva as ever. I stage doored and met Shoshana, Ben and Megan.

I saw many Bway stars on the street: Liev Schiver on his bike, Jeff Goldblum walking down past Avenue Q, and on the way to Wicked, Cheyenne Jackson walking to All Shook Up.

I also got harrased for my love of ASU, I went to do TKTS and I had reccomended to this lady to go see it and this guy passing out DRS panflits said I was nuts for reccomending it and that Cheyenne cant sing and that Movin Out is better than ASU. Then got attacked as I walked passed one of those Improv people wearing my ASU who goes "Come see improv, and not some overrated Broadway musical that sucks". I still love ASU. I always will.

That was my trip, it was awesome.

EW. That DRS guy sounds like a jackass.

If he got on my back for liking Chicago and Charity - he would have another thing coming!

Actually, it's not Rod that says the line about scientology. It's the Bad Idea Bears.

Glad you enjoyed your trip.

No need to apologize. Just tought you'd like to know since you liked that line so much.

It sucks that you didn't get to see Christian Anderson though. He is such a sweetheart at the stage door. And has a great memory. I saw the show twice with him and he remembered me the second time around. Granted it was only three days later, but still. lol.

WoW, you got to meet Natalie? That's so cool. From what I here she NEVER comes out because she has a train to catch. If she hung around to sign she'd miss it.

Actually both times Christian came out at the same time as Barrett did.

You are so lucky to have met Natalie.

Really- Why doesnt she always come out?

Describe Christian. He may have passed by what with 3 shows having the same exact stage door exit.

From what I hear she has to catch a train literally right after the show ends, so if she came out the stage door then it would hold her up and she would run the chance of missing it.

And Christian, well I adore him. He's kind of tall. And has this crazy hair. Heres a link to my photobucket account. There's pictures of him there. Just look though the two pages and you should find them.
