I'm reading this now and it's great fun. Mostly lightweight quotes, anecdotes and vignettes sort of slapped together. Some of the stories I knew, while others were a complete surprise. So far, I've found it delightful.

I bought Broadway Babylon about six months ago and keep dipping into it. It's interesting but not as shocking as Hollywood Babylon (which I stood reading for over an hour in a bookshop many years ago when I was a student and couldn't afford to buy it).
