Was she 20 when she assumed the role full-time, or 20 when she was hired as the standby?

PB, that was my thinking. I don't know the age but the milestone sounds very familiar.

To be honest, I like Linda Eder more in the roel (but obviously it was created for her) but I still love Coleen Sexton! I really think they're almost too different to compare. Does anyone have any info about fan mial & her!? Or Linda Eder for that part!? Haha

As a recall, Coleen took over for Luba Mason as the lead playing Lucy until the show closed. I believe Kate Shindle was the cover for the role at the time.

I saw Coleen as Elphaba in Philly this summer. She wasn't on at first, but the main girl for Elphaba (sorry - the name escapes me at the moment) sang her first song and I turned to my husband and said, "She won't make it through Defying Gravity." In the very next scene, she was replaced with Coleen. OK - I was completely blown away by Coleen. The other Elphaba I had seen in NY was Julia Murney. Coleen sangs rings around Murney. She was simply fabulous!

I'm seeing Wicked again on April 2nd - don't know if Stephanie J. Block will still be there - but I'm looking forward to it.
