I have tickets to see "The Color Purple" on Saturday, August 25. Does anybody know if Fantasia will be in on that day? I hope she's not away on vacation...

She doesn't have anymore vaction time scheduled, but she has been sick. I would check with the box office on Thursday.

I just read on ATC that Fantasia has been out sick all week. Does anyone know about this? I have tix to see the show this Saturday night and I hope she's in!

Well I went to go see it yesterday and she was in and she did an AWESOME job. Off-topic but the Broadway Theatre has great sightlines.

OMG You Guys! She has only missed 38 performances! Give the woman a break! When you're sick, you're sick! Plus, she has a kid and that must keep her quite busy! Gosh!

Wasn't there talk a while back of re-releasing the cast recording with Fantasia on it?

If Fantasia isn't there, her understudy Montego is AMAZING. Don't ger a refund. Her vocals are different, but strong. More similar to LaChanze's. Her acting is the real star of the show.

Wanna be a foster, how do you know it's 38? Just wondering. And there are only aprroximately 32 perf. per month and she has only been on since April. That's a month in total that she has missed.

Well, I'm glad my family and I decided to wait and see Fantasia in the show in October instead of...tomorrow, haha
