Does anyone know how long Cynthia Erivo and Heather Headley are scheduled to be in The Color Purple? I would like to buy tickets for December and hope both are still in it then.

I think Headey is only contracted thru Sept. Erivo's year is up in Nov, if I remember correctly. No way to know if she will stay on.
Don't take my memory as gospel, however.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Though I also hope dearly that both are in the production then, I would say December is unlikely, pushdabutton. Things could easily change, but I would only safely say now that Erivo will be with the show through mid-November. It's been said that Headley's leaving after Labor Day Weekend, but we're getting closer to then with no cast announcement.

Thanks to you both for your responses. I was thinking chances are not that great that both will be in the cast in December. I think I will hold off another while before buying tickets. I have tickets to Dear Evan Hansen and can only see one other show. I was hoping to see The Color Purple but especially want to see Cynthia. I'll give it a few more months and if not, I'll have to decide on another show.
