Has anyone seen the touring production of the Color Purple? I was thinking of seeing it next week, but I wanted to know how the cast was first.

This is one of my all-time favorite shows.
I saw it on Broadway seven times.
I haven't seen the tour, but I'm sure it is just as fabulous as the Broadway production was.
The score is incredible, and the choreography is wonderful. It's a very moving story, told with care.
Definitely check it out.

If Jeanette Bayardelle is still in the show, then my advice to you is beg, cheat, lie, and steal to get tickets. She is beyond phenomenal.
If not, then...eh. The show itself is just okay, imo, but Jeanette is something to behold.
