How early would I have to get to Come From Away on a Saturday to get the 1. evening rush tickets or 2. evening standing room? Please comment if you have experience with this. My friend is coming to NYC so I would love to see the show with him.

Box office opens at 10. The ticket office told me on Saturday that people start lining up at 6 or 7am.
She said there are 10 rush and 10 standing room and those are handed out as soon as the box office opens.
Premiums seats for over 300 dollars were also available. I'm not sure how those are priced. Some people got last row center for 300 but other people in the same row paid under 200.

10 standing room seems like way less than normal? Something must have changed because I've rushed it 3 times and each time it's been about 20 standing room spots. I would double check that number just to be safe :)

Maybe something changed or she was new. That is what she told me and the people in front of me. However, now that I think about it, when I got inside after purchasing on stubhub it did seem like there were more than ten people standing. I think there was one person standing behind each seat in the last row of the center orchestra. So however many seats are in a center orchestra row, that is how many standing room I would say there were. I felt sorry for the person who was standing behind the isle seat in row s because there is a large pole in front of part of that seat.

Yeah of course! I didn't think you were reporting incorrect info. I totally agree with you that she was probably new or something changed. :)

The number of standing room may depend on how many handicap spaces they have for a particular performance. When I went, they seemed to have a lot of openings for handicap spaces, limiting the number of standing room.
SRO is typically 20-25 spots. It depends on the handicap seats if they lose a spot or two or if the creative team is using a few spots to watch the show. The last three times I saw the show, the 3 spots house right we're being used by either Ian Eisendrath, Christopher Ashley, the writers Irene and David, or some of the standbys (I met Tony LePage and Tamika Lawrence this way). To be exact, there's 10 spots house left, 12 center and 3 right for a maximum total of 25.
