ALthough they are long over, I'm fascinated about the Tony war. Mainly the fight of the fans between Ramirez and O'Hara. It sort of bothers me how so many people assume that a layered, dramatic role is so much more difficult than a comedic role. It isn't necessarily more work for the dramatic role, it's just that a comic role is made to LOOK effortless. And, often times, they might be more draining, I am just not sure if mcuh more work is put into one than the other.

For example, I have an acquaintance who is great at passive, dramatic roles (Laura in Menagerie, Maggie in Shadow Box), yet really does not have much of a comic skill at all. My point is that I think comedy is easier than it appears to be.
