Posted: 3/26/04 at 11:14pmI was just in the West End and I saw Jerry Springer. I thought it was entertaining but incredibly stupid. It made absolutely no lasting impact on me. I'm curious to see how it does on Broadway, though.

I can't wait for Spamelot and West Side Story..
Camelot....yawn.... I recently saw a touring production of this...if it is gonna make it as a Bway revival, it will have to REALLY spiff up...the music isn't very powerful or unique, the story is just the way everyone knows it, and the production i saw had nothing unexpected as far as set and special effects. It's just kind of boring...

Wow--sounds like I might have make plans to come up to see some of these. Camelot is among my very favorite shows. Of course, if Michael Ball is in CCBB I'll be there as well.
I really don't care either way about West Side Story.

Posted: 3/27/04 at 2:27pmThe Pajama Game is also on its way, with Tarzan looking for summer 2005...I hope they choose Matt Bogart to play Lancelot in Camelot. He was brilliant in the Arena Stage production. Updated On: 3/27/04 at 02:27 PM

I dunno..but its not doing what I thought it would

Posted: 3/29/04 at 12:26amDon't force yourself to like it. "It either pulls you in or leaves you cold," as they say in LAUREL CANYON. If it doesn't do it for you, pass it by. Life is just too damn short. You're probably being more honest than most people who feel the same exact way but won't admit it for whatever strange reason. Updated On: 3/29/04 at 12:26 AM

Posted: 3/29/04 at 12:31amA Tale Of Two Cities is supposed to be coming to Broadway in the next year or two also, but there isn't much press on it so it's hard to know when exactly things will happen for it.

London's having a great 2004 season it seems --
The Producers
Billy Elliot the Musical
The Woman in White
Mary Poppins
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
The Last Five Years
Should be good.

wow, I hope the production of Camelot is spiffed up..It has a lot of sentimental value for me because it';s the last show I saw with my grandmother before she got sick.
West Side Story and The Wiz should be fun too! Looks like i'll have to plan another trip up to the city....
That seems like a lot of shows that are opening..how many empty theatres are there right now?

This is what I get for saying there is not much news. Just checked the Tale of Two Cities website. They have some news! Yay! Gabriel Barre is going to be the director. (Directed Lippa's The Wild Party). I am excited.
