Posted: 10/18/12 at 7:36pmThis was a great production- a fantastic Elle Woods, great Emmett, wonderful Paulette and awesome Enid HOOPES! If I could fault the show at all...here goes... it was lacking MEN in the ensemble (no Grandmaster Chad.....) and the choreography was not "great". Alyssa Gorgone, as Elle, was truly great. See this show if you can!

Posted: 10/18/12 at 10:19pmAs far as community theatre goes, the Community Players of Pawtucket, RI have put on many outstanding productions over the years. They are the theatre that first got me interested in Broadway (yep, even before Trinity Rep.). I hope I'll have a chance to see this show...

I'm seeing it next weekend.
As has been said, they do a great job for community theater, we've enjoyed every show we've seen there.
Looking forward to it, and I'll post my slightly biased review afterwards.

Saw it on Sunday and it was as well put on as anything they've done before.
I was surprised that they kept some of the R rated stuff in it, as the audience tends to skew old (and very young, lots of 9-13 year old girls in addition to the usual blue hairs), but the audience seemed to enjoy it.
To make better use of the floor in front of the stage they had the orchestra in a different room and piped in the music. That made it sound a bit tinny and you lost some of the effect of having a live band right there -- I hope they don't do it again.
Community Players now offers a real online ticketing option, which made it much easier to get tickets - no long "will call" line anymore.
Well played, players.
