Just found the post below on a message board - wow! Does anyone know if this really exists? Does anyone have a copy? (I've posted a request for more info on the board where I found it, but don't have the poster's email address.)
"I have a complete audio performance of Merman in the role and she's terrific. Very funny and very chilling, as needed. The "You'll Never Get Away from Me" scene is especially funny. I have never seen this scene played the way Merman does it. She has just had a satisfying Chinese meal (her favorite), she's in a good mood, and nothing is going to rock her boat. It adds a lot of humor to the bit of spatting that Herbie does with her in the scene. She is absolutely imperturbable and warm, and it makes Herbie that much more frustrated."
