Posted: 8/31/04 at 2:03pmI really can't believe that they replaced the two male leads in Brooklyn. The two men in Denver were phenomenal and added so much to the show. Calling everyone who saw it in Denver...Are you as nervous as I am? Also- If you saw it in Bryant Park, were the "new" men any good?

Posted: 8/31/04 at 2:11pmI'm not worried. They both have experience and Clevant Derricks was in Dreamgirls. I have seen him perform and he is good. I really was not crazy about the guy who played Taylor Collins in Denver. I saw it a few times and his performance seemed a bit uneven to me.

Posted: 8/31/04 at 4:50pmYes, I have to admit that I was a little concerned with the new cast members. I really liked Lee and David in those parts. I've gotten to know Lee a little bit and am still having a hard time imagining someone else playing Taylor. BUT...although I'm not familiar with Mr. Derricks, everyone I've talked to raves about him. As for Mr. Anderson, I'm waiting to make my own opinion. I've heard mixed reviews about him, so we'll see. JANE2-we just have to assume that those experienced BKLYN producers know what they're doing! At least the same 3 females are the same. They're the real reasons that I love the show.
