re: Concerning In My Life

WickedGeek, If you cut my statement it will never make sense.

"Well, I respect your opinion, but The Wedding Singer is a heartwarming musical about LOVE, and the feeling of not being sure what's gonna happen with your life in your 20's, with dazzling musical numbers and choreographies"
"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one". -Felicia Finley-

re: Concerning In My Life

I am pretty sure JT didn't know what would happen with his life...

Hell, we loved that same plot in A NEW BRAIN.

re: Concerning In My Life

Actually,I completely agree with Margo. He chose the ideal word to describe The Wedding Singer: "annoying." I don't find anything "dazzling" about it, wanna see dazzling musical numbers? Head to the August Wilson, or the Ambassador, those are shows directed by people who know how to actually stage a musical number. The choreography of The Wedding Singer is cliched and mediocre at best. And please, I could PM you a list of shows about what you call "LOVE" that are a thousan times more honest, well-structured, and less "annoying" than The Wedding Singer.
Frankly I'm still a little disappointed David Turner didn't get a Tony nomination. The show had everything going against it, yet there was a certain "it" quality to it that didn't want to make you leave the show but stay and watch the bizarro trainwreck in delight and awe.

Saw it twice. Had a blast.

re: Concerning In My Life

I didn't even say i didn't like In My Life and all this fuzz?
If you did love this show, which I thought was very original, there is no need to put down shows that are on Broadway right now. Cheap shot!
