Concert For Princess Diana

Hello. I happened to be channel surfing on Sunday and came upon the theatre section of that show. I saw Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman singing a song from "Phantom". Also, there was a lady who sang "Memory". Does anyone know who she was? I don't know why they put another singer for a bit part as a duet with "Memory". Just wondering... from RC in Austin, Texas... t.o.p.l.f.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Here are the performers for the Andrew Lloyd Webber Medley:

Anastacia - "Superstar" from Jesus Christ Superstar
Connie Fisher and Andrea Ross - "Memory" from Cats
Andrea Bocelli - "The Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera
Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman - "All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera
Donny Osmond, Jason Donovan and Lee Mead - "Any Dream Will Do" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

*NOTE: As performed on stage, "Memory" does have a 2nd 'cat'/singer on the last bridge of the song.

The woman doing Memory was Connie Fisher- the winner of "how do you solve a problem like Maria?" the first reality musical show (to find Maria-Sound of Music). I personally thought she wasn't very good, as she mucked up the words and was out of tune when she got low, but I'm totally against Andrew Lloyd Webber and his "reality show casting of a show he didn't even write" the other girl is ALW's "latest find" and that annoyed me how she only got to sing a tiny bit and they didn't even attempt harmony.

Thought the Jason Donavon/Donny Osmond/Lee Mead Joseph thang was very good even though i don't like Joseph.

Of course, here in Britain, a lot of people seem to think Andrew Lloyd Webber is the only person to have ever made a musical and hence we are subjected to it on tv and those best of musicals compilation cds which only ever contain his music

Memory was really bad, I hate to say. I thought at first she was just messing up the lyrics because she was nervous, but she couldn't seem to manage the end of the song either.

Sarah Brightman looks really great for her age and Josh Groban was stunning. I heard him sing Music of the Night at some concert and it wasn't so great, but this really made up for it. I would like to see him on Broadway some day, but I'd have to fight tooth and nail with all the friggin "grobanites" for tickets.
"But I can tell you that Raoul, who was so handsome in "The Phantom," is now a drunken wreck."
