Girl, I've seen all of your musicals. You deserved a nomination from the beginning with "Boy from Oz". Your rendition of Judy in 9 to 5 was hilarious. You are awesome and really should get this TONY. There are others who have a Tony on their shell. Let's the committee acknowledge you... It would be well deserved
PS... Hard to believe this is your 1st nomination

In your kind response asking how she doesn't have a Tony... Her name has been submitted but the comity did not wish to acknowledge her. She's been in 6 new Broadway shows. It's a shame they waited 11yrs to give her recognition. That's Broadway!!

WE BAD.WE TIGHT
It seems like Block has been around forever, but this is only her 4th show where she is Tony-eligible (she was not eligible for Wicked or Anything Goes), and her 3 other Broadway shows were not well-received in general (The Boy from Oz, Pirate Queen, and 9 to 5).
It kind of feels like she's overdue, but I think it's a matter of never having been in the right place at the right time before. I thought she was great in Drood (I'm still laughing over her delivery of "Enjoy the show..."), and I am glad she has a nomination this year.

I believe you're very correct. Miscounted on true openings. However, I'd include Drood as another show, but this one she gets a nomination. Thanks for putting me straight.
