ha ha, yea its a good thing its locked. i know i wasnt too thrilled to have him come on but thats just cause i didnt know how he was gonna be. i mean it was possible that he could ruin the show for me but im actually REALLY excited to see the show him in it now!! he looks really excited and it really looks like hes gonna do a GREAT job! im excited!!!

He is an utter and total back-pedalling TOOL. Talking demographics...trying to compare himself even remotely to Usher(who has NO right being in Chicago)is a complete joke. His admitting to rediculous pouting camera antics only further reiterrates his shallow attempt at manipulation and POOR acting skills.....gross.

He was at a party, the 'PreVMA' party and wore it. I think he also wore it on the Good Day New York interview with the people auditioning for American Idol season 6.

Yes, I think everyone agrees that Constantine can sing. As far as his dancing in this video, I thought he was perfectly in character with Sammy, the tough Jersey guy. Now, if we're talking about Constantine dancing for a role in Chicago, then that might present a challenge or two for him.

We saw WS three weeks ago, and we're coming up from Florida in a week or so specifically to see Constantine in this role. After seeing the rehearsal video, I have no doubts that Constantine will be anything less than spectacular as Sammy! I wish him all the best in his broadway debut!

I wish they had show the dance break in "Right In Front of Your Eyes" or some of the book scenes. That video didn't show anything. I think we all knew he could sing - or at least carry a note, but I'd like to see what he does when he has to just act, when there isn't dancing or music backing him up.

um... I'm not even like the HUUGEST hugest fan anymore, but I do really like him still and I do feel the need to come to his defense. Um, we wasn't comparing himself to usher at ALL. His exact words "I think it's great that people from television are exploring theater more and more and.. look what Usher's doing for chicago and the ticket sales" How may I ask is that comparing himself to usher? he's simply saying that he likes that people from other entertainment industries are starting to do theater. And yes, in that sense he and usher ARE undoubtedly in the same group- like him or not, its a fact that he's in the entertainment industry also. So yeah, he was in no way being rude or bigheaded there. I actually really LIKE that he's so into theater and supports it so much. We ALL should be- as any support will help keep theater going.

And um... you honestly dont think there MAY just have been a reason why he started looking into the cameras exept that you think he's a jerk? Because I can assure you, just go watch his Kiss From a Rose performance, or anything like that from early on. He may have LOOKED into the camera then at some points, as all the idols do and should, but he NEVER did the intense staring thing. I KNEW he only started doing it because it got a reaction, but I didn't know till now that he was told to do it. But yeah... it is very clear if you watched the season that its not like he just thought he was all that from the beginning. He just got a reaction and so he started taking advantage of it- which, as annoying as it may be, I do not blame him for at all.

ok, I'm done rambling now :) but seriously, he may be sleezy in the things he does some times but that DOESNT mean hes not a perfectly nice person. Actually, this video made me like him quite a bit again. For a while there, I was thinking that he HAD turned bigheaded and scummy from the idol success and everything, but you know what? he really impressed me in this video- he DOES seem very humble as a person and truly exited, which is awesome :)


(for the record, there ARE still things about him that annoy me. But.. this video just made them a bit less so)

Ushers is not even from TV. I think the correlation he was making was that "look at what these people from TV and music are doing for the ticket sales, maybe I can do that too." Which is stupid. I wouldn't consider him a TV star in the least bit. We'll see if he makes a dent in the ticket sales. I would imagine they'd pick up for the first week, but go back to normal after that.

I liked this video, even if the dancing could have been better, the singing was well done. But again, I will reserve my judgment until I actually see him in the show.

I enjoyed seeing him learn the steps. I have never seen him in a rehearsal before. He actually moves very freely on stage so I think once he learns the steps, he will be very different.

I liked the movements he did with his upper torso and head as well as some of the feet work. It will be interesting to see the final dance, once he is actually performing.

I thought it was a lot of fun to watch.

He'll probably dance better when he knows all of his dancing parts 100%. I know when I do a production and I first learn the dance moves i'm not that comfortable with it and I keep practicing it, and then I get a lot better.
So, i'd give him a few more days and I think he'll dance pretty well September on 8th!

The first time I heard he was comming into the show I wasn't all that thrilled, then I relized that it is only for 8 weeks and that he has a really good voice. I already bought tickets for a week after he comes in and now i'm pretty excited to go see him!

EXACTLY rentboy! Question: Was the current Sammy bought out? or did he leave on his own accord for another gig? If he was bought out and Constantine was brought in to boost sales or interest,then they have REALLY missed the boat. They could have easily taken advantage of Laura's medical leave and temporarily brought in a Mandy Moore,Dianna Degarmo,Hillary Duff, numerous female vocally talented cast-offs from Idol,or semi-fading pop stars that match more of Drew Barrymore's original free-spiritedness and likability. Or how about actual 80's "icon" Molly Ringwald, she can sing, and she's likeable. (I know she's on tour w/Charity but at least it would have been thoughtful casting.

I like the guy. We went to a couple of his shows. Women, men and kids...all love him. I'm not mojo'd like my wife but I'll give him a chance as an actor. I know he can sing. Can he act? We'll see.
