I too noticed Constantine's photo on several opening nights I met him at the opening of LESTAT He was there and was very personable We chatted for a minute and I asked him whether he was coming to Broadway ( That was before the opening of Wedding Singer where also was ) He indicated that it would be nice but nothing wsa specific at this moment

It will be interesting to see what show he is in ?? Lets think of roles he can back into now Maybe he can be Norberts replaacement, or Harry Connick's think about it and share your ideas

He was interested in coming to Broadway but didnt have any specific plans last week that was the same night that Rosie ODonnell was alive and sweet and wonderful She announced she was coming to the view a few days later

The PALACE does have great energy

And now we see his mug at the Drowsy opening (with Kellie Pickler no less -- of Idol fame)

I agree with previous posters - it's the stupid face he makes in every pic, like he thinks the faux-pout is sexy or something. He annoyed me on Idol for the same reason, his never ending "Look! I look sexy when I look at the camera like this!" is really irritating.

oh yeah, and not sexy.

"Wow, this "celebrity" has absoolutely NO LIFE!!! LOL I cant stop laughing!!"

As opposed to what? Faceless Internet users who *post* about him having no life?

Constantine studied musical theater; he starred in a Rent tour before Idol; he obviously enjoys musicals. Big deal. I take exception to someone labeling someone as having "slim" theater connections simply because they haven't appeared in a lot of big shows. I have many friends who also went to college to study musical theater and they are still working to beef up their "slim" resume; it doesn't mean they are any less worthy than name stage actors.

Not only that Kuhn - but if those that really can't stand him or don't like that he's out and about getting publicity.. WHY ON SWEET HEAVEN would you start multiple threads giving him more publicity? Seems a tad backwards, dontchathink?

Its kinda naive to label someone as a faceless poster with no life. Hmmmm. You have no idea who I am or what I do. Interesting......you know what.....I'll save it. So, for everyone out there that gets their kicks on bashing posters... Constantine, regardless of what he should be is obviously in the public eye. If it were once in a while that would be one thing but being that he has attended all of these within a week or so....it just seems cheesy thats all. You just dont hear of celebs doing that this often. That's why it has garnered so much attention and spawned a couple of threads. So if all you have better to do is just look for reasons to disagree with someone's posts. I throw back that recent comment that had to do with faceless internet posters with nothing better to do.

You said it! I'll bet a whole new set of people (non-Idol watchers) now know who Constantine is thanks to these ridiculous posts. I just don't understand the outrage over a person who was trying to make a career for himself in musical theater before he ever appeared on Idol. It's not as if Bo Bice (a contestant who admitted he was clueless about musicals) is turning up at every Broadway opening. Alright, rant over.

Wow, I didn't realize how "big" the opening for Drowsy was. A lot of famous people there. I guess it was a good week to open and an off night for most shows. I thought it was weird to have the two American Idol contestants there. Doesn't seem like either of them would have much interested in a 1920s musical comedy, but hey - its all PR.

stars and "celebrities" (and lets face it the Idol-ers are celebs in most of the eyes of americans!) are invited to the opening nights. its good press that "so and so" was there and its whats always been done and why there is a red carpet...blah blah blah...
call it tradition..i don't know!
I DO wish Constantine would just relax and smile. I feel like he just POSES like his photo is going to end up in GQ! I am a big Constantine fan and i LOVED him no Idol. I like his voice...I just wish he would show us a little more Constantine being HAPPY rather than TRYING so hard to be sexy in EVERY photo, cause trying to be sexy isn't sexy, am i right?
The bigger question here really is, are he and kelli pickler and item?! aaaaaaaahahahhahahahahah!! thats what I WANT to know! (just trying to lighten things up..i could care less)
AND...i think he would be a fun Fiyero. I hate that just because someone was on American Idol it is instantly assumed that they couldn't handle a broadway show...thats sad. THOUGH, its also sad that it is assumed that they CAN automatically do broadway JUST because they were on Idol...ya know what i'm sayin??!!

I agree Andrea. If he can sing live for millions of people, I'm sure he has the stamina for the show. Acting is something else . . . .

Also appearing at The Lieutenant of Inishmore. He must have one hell of a PR rep. I heard he is working on a possible series for ABC. Good way to keep his face in front of the media at every opp.

He was a decent talent, and he certainly has every right to draw out his 15 minutes as much as possible. I just can't stand to see anyone male or female, famous or not, who is that studied and self-conscious every time they are on camera. It is the epitome of cheese, the opposite of sexy, and a bad move if he wants to land more theatre roles, as it indicates his acting would be just as postured, self-aware and artificial.
