Hello all- I was hoping some of you could give me a few suggestions on a projct I'm currently working on for a theater course I'm taking. For our final project, we are to choose 4 musicals of our choice (our professor said they should be fairly new musicals, don't ask me why..) and construct 2 props from each show. So far, I plan to spray paint a baby doll green, to serve as Elphaba when they show the green baby at the end of No One Mourns the Wicked in Wicked. I am also going to construct the brain in the glass container from Young Frankenstein. I am looking for any ideas or suggestions you guys can give me.. I knew this would be the right place to find some creative geniuses! Thanks so much :)

It shouldn't be too hard to recreate one of the cans of hairspray from Hairspray and maybe you could make a radio or something too.

How about a pile of cat food cans for "Grey Gardens?"

Sorry, but a green baby is pretty lame.
Something like Baby Simba would be pretty cool. The shell and trident from The Little Mermaid would be awesome as well. Maybe something from Avenue Q, like Princeton's singing boxes.
It really depends how much time/effort you're willing to put into it.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I really appreciate all the ideas! And outdamnwench, I agree about the green baby... I guess I should've mentioned that we are restricted to very few materials (have to bring SOME things from home, but must use the materials lying around in the shop) and only a week to construct it. Constructing a baby Simba would be awesome.. wish I were talented enough to create it. Maybe I'll give it a try...Thanks for all your help!
