Wow, I admire his commitment to the show and work can be hard to come by for any actor, but I can't imagine signing on for a second year. Maybe he got more perks like vacation time or an easy 4 week out-clause.

He has also talked a lot over the past year about how much he loves this show and how he feels like this is the role he has been most suited for, and that there is a lot to the character of Henri that he identifies with. So I think he's really enjoying himself.
