Contracts of Actors in West Side Story . . .

Does anyone know until when the main actors like Karen Olivo and Josefina Scaglione are contracted? I am going to be in New York in June of this upcoming year and I really want to see them in it. I was just wondering if they might, by some miracle, still be there. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Most contracts for the Original members are a standard one year. That would put them at approximately end of Feb to mid March for their contracts to be up.

any of them could certainly extend, assuming they are invited to, but don't expect to hear anything until after the first of the year.

Well, since Karen sold her soul to the devil (aka Miss Laurents) she will be performing Anita in a much hotter climate than Puerto Rico for the rest of all times following the expiration of her contract for this, hellish, production...

Don't one-year contracts also include out of town tryouts prior to its Broadway engagement? If so, WSS started its Washington DC tryout in December so it could put their contract end dates around that time.
