Cool thing alert: AMP Scenography (designer of The Outsiders)

We talk a lot about making space for new people to rise up the ranks and have a chance at big projects, and this feels like a major example of "walking the walk"/"putting your money where your mouth is"/insert phrase of choice, and allowing designers to experiment while having the cushion of more seasoned people behind them.

AMP is a collective founded by two-time Tony Award winner Christine Jones and Brett J. Banakis to amplify, give support, and give visibility to emerging and underrepresented designers through equitable collaborations.

AMP will feature a different designer joining Christine and Brett on each project designed by this collective.

AMP believes that in order for an emerging designer to thrive, it is essential to not only offer space and opportunity, but to provide the support and tools to be successful within those opportunities and beyond.

On THE OUTSIDERS, they're joined by Tatiana Kahvegian, who is Tony-nominated for that very impressive design.

"dots" may have a similar function, since they are a design collective with no single person being credited as the designer or associate designer: they share fees, and one individual leads the project, but there's some overlap of labor.

So I just wanted to highlight them and give credit where it's due because the work is good and so is the mission!
