I had a quick question and I figure I would go to the experts. Each year I have a Pride LGBTQ Charity concert in NYC. This year I would like to incorporate a few excerpts (1-2 minutes) from two LGBTQ plays. My question is do I need special permission to have my actors perform from said shows though it would be only minutes from each show and author would be credited.

Yes. Anytime an audience is present, unless in a classroom setting.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
