I cant think of a worse person to play this part.

Brian Conley's contract was for him to play the season before Christmas and release him for the already contracted pantomime in Southend and then return to the show in March.
The show was suddenly given notice in the West End and he was then given the tour dates.

Yea, he cancelled a short tour of his one man show he had planned for Feb and March that was planned even before he knew he was doing 'Hairspray' last year.

I'm watch the show hopefully next week... will Brian be on or this new guy? This new guy is REALLY thin for Edna!

'Craig is really theatrical' are they saying he's basically a drama queen?

In fairness I quite like the bloke, and he has the background to pull it off but I'd rather not see Hairspray go down 'celeb of the week' casting.

Can't see it happening, even though the Shaftesbury is stuck for a show now until September.

Won't Craig be busy doing Chess over the Summer ready for the new tour?

'Chess' is what I thought about when I saw this post. I don't hold much hope for that tour as it is. We shall see.
