Anybody want to have a party celebrating the end of the dreaded Dracula?
Never celebrate the death of a show. Especially if the star is Tom Hewitt.
I will celebrate when the man gets cast in a great show.

Kelli O'Hara will be out of a job. Why are we celebrating?
Kelli is doing LIGHT AT THE PIAZZA. That's why I'm happy this show is ending. Now everyone in the cast can move on to a decent show.
hundreds of people will be out of the job. even if some of you think the show is bad, it's not a thing to celebrate.

Yeah even if the show SUCKS beyond belief think of the stuggling actors who now have to go through the process again?
Even at that, was Dracula that bad? I am sad to say it debuted where I am from (Los Angeles).

I wish the rich investor would bring back Rocky Horror and cast Tom Hewitt. The man deserves to shine.
Hope Tom finds a great role.

I don't celebrate the closing of shows. Even shows I hate. It's already dead, so why dance on the corpse? That's just being mean-spirited.
Who needs Rocky Horror back again? Hasn't it lost enough money on Broadway stages?
Wasn't it Sept. 11th that brought about Rocky Horror's closing? I think it was doing pretty well right until then, no?
Oh, they blamed September 11th. And they blamed Urinetown and Mamma Mia, but it had been running on two-fers for most of its run.

its possible to have discount codes and being doing well. its better than not having an audience there cuz the ticket prices are too high.
Not when it cuts into your full price sales to the point that you can't run profitably. Rocky Horror was selling almost everything at a discount, and while it wasn't always losing money, it wasn't exactly making any money either. For the long haul, the show needed to sell more full price tickets to the fans of the film (who can still see it in a movie theatre on Friday and Saturday nights for $10). And they weren't willing to pony up $80/$85 every time to do it in significant enough numbers.

Rocky Horror Show's revival closed due to September 11th, but they did open up again later on... it was during the "guest star" period of time, and they closed again January of 2002.
Got to see it with Penn and Teller as guest narrators. They were no Dick Cavett (whose rapore with the audience was hilarious), but they were very entertaining and had a very funny fire-eating act 2 opener.
