I don't think I know who this Kate Jennigs Grant character is, but I know the casting is underwhelming to say the least.
I loved Craig Bierko in SEX & THE CITY, loved him at the Tonys when he performed from THE MUSIC MAN, but he is not enough to get me to watch some of the most underwhelming casting choices for a revival that I used to be really excited about.
Compare this to the Donmar Warehouse cast: Ewan McGregor, Jane Krakowski, and Jenna Russell. Compare this to the cast they wanted to get last season: Debra Messing, John C. Reilly, Patrick Wilson, and Anne Hathaway. Now look at who we're getting now... talk about yawn-inducing cast. Ugh.
Hopefully the replacement cast will be better.

WHO is in charge of casting this? It's been one bizarre choice after another. I would've loved to see even one member of the London revival cast (Jenna Russell!). Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson would have at least piqued my interest. But now, I can barely keep myself awake typing this - I'm only interested in Lauren Graham now. Don't even get me started on the Tituss thing.

Wow, this is IS boring. Debra Messing, John C. Reilly, Patrick Wilson, and Anne Hathaway would have been incredible!

I'm only excited about Lauren Graham, I hope she does well.

...What role had Patrick Wilson been considered for? I absolutely love him, but I can't see him as Sky (or any of the other principles.)

However, I would've loved John C. Reilly as Nathan!

I would have LOVED to see Patrick Wilson as Sky. And I was hoping the Lauren Ambrose rumors were true. I'm absolutely thrilled about Lauren Graham, and I like Oliver Platt, but the rest of the cast is disappointing. Hopefully they'll surprise me, though.

I'm with the crowd who says Kate was fantastic in Bette and Boo and I do hope she succeeds. I personally think that while a slightly underwhelming choice, she will is a fine one all the same.
