saw "God of Carnage" with the original cast (Daniels, Davis, Gandolfini, Gay Harden). Not a lot of people were stage dooring which really surprised me based on the star wattage. All four actors came out in that order and Marcia Gay Harden signed autographs and was chatting with people for a good 30 minutes. We happened to be at the end of the line (not planned, just happened). She got to my dad and I and was shocked we'd stayed around so long. I have to mention at this point, my dad wasn't a Broadway person really (he'd seen 2 shows but had never stage doored and wasn't the biggest fan of the shows he'd seen). But chatting with Marcia Gay Harden (who was so down to earth and asking us about our trip) just flipped a switch in him and now anytime we are in NYC he's always planning who we can see. Not only did she chat with us there we walked and talked with her for a good four or five blocks (trust me, we're not awkward, her social cues never said, 'Why are you following me?') She thanked us again for coming to the show and strolled off. We still talk about it to this day.

More exciting than crazy but after the final Broadway performance of Billy Elliot many fans, former cast members were at the stage door. It was a fun experience on a sad day of its closing.
I have an awkward one:
Went to watch the Phantom UK Tour in Manchester last year. As always I waited outside the stage door for the stars. Katie Hall, who played Christine, walked out and strolled right past us all like we wouldn't want to meet her. I ran after her and asked her to sign my program, trying to make things less awkward I told her I saw her in the Les Mis UK Tour and thought she was terrific (lies, Christine was the first role I'd seen of hers that I didn't hate) then I told her how lucky she was to get to cuddle up to Gareth Gates every night, who played Marius and is a famous ex-pop star turned musical theatre star, she gave me back my program and walked off without another word.
My friend then told me she had a very publicized affair with Gareth Gates during Les Mis as Gates was married! So I basically slapped her across the face with her past and didn't even realize it.
a really cool one..Santino and Laura telling my sisters and me how they saw us from the stage and were distracted by our tiaras!
